Hi I have 2001 LC with no rear lockers , I have an opportunity to get OEM 3rd member with OEM locker from 1999 LC
I looked where the locker the switch and looks like the harness is there my question is it relay all pre-wired just need to install switch, control computer module, and rear 3rd member with locker? did anyone did anything like this?

I can't tell you if the wiring is there but I will suggest you make sure the rear 3rd member will just bolt on. When I did the elocker swap into my pickup the axle housing needed to be modified to clear the locker actuator arm. Required some welding and grinding.

May not be plug and play.

You need the entire housing or mod yours. The actuator bolts to the housing along with the sensor.

I've done it—like @neoworm mentioned, you'll have to notch your existing housing to fit the ELocker third. (Or swap the entire housing like @diego355 suggests). It's an easy enough grind to do, but you'll want to really plug up the center all the dust and metal flakes don't get in the housing.

You will need the short side axle shaft also. The setup won't work without it.

I'm sure someone could figure out the OEM computer, but it's loads easier to run something like the Slee controller and just wire it up yourself.

For all the effort involved, I'm not sure I would do it again. I'd just buy a Harrop/Eaton and call it.

I figure not worth it!
