I first saw Spressomon's rear hatch lighting and then while at Costco, I noticed they had this Sylvania Mosaic LED light kit for $30. They also carry these lights on amazon for $40.

Turns out, this kit makes for an easy install into the 100. It comes with 4-24" LED strips. Two, daisy chained across fits the width perfectly on the rear glass. You can daisy chain up to 10 strips but I think 4 strips is sufficient. The lights just stick on the glass.

I took power from the 3rd row dome light and needed to extend the power cable by about 2ft (after chopping off the AC adapter). The controller resides in the rear hatch near the interior door handle.

If you look carefully in the 2nd pic, you can see the remote sensor. Below that, under the panel, is the controller. From the controller, the power cable just runs under the plastic trimming and out behind the 3rd brake light. There are rubber grommets you can pass the power wire through the hatch.

From the hatch "jamb," you will need to make a decision whether you want to drill a hole and use a grommet or just pass a cable over the weather stripping.

Did this disable your rear dome light?
I have since wired the LED lights to the rear aux power source.

Gotcha. I looked at that picture for 10 minutes before I finally saw sensor. Can believe I missed. Might have to join costco. Thx for info, mark

Not sure about the controller hoser is using but I've installed a couple remote control on/off/dimming systems in customer's trucks and the controller's current consumption is a non-issue/small mAs.
