Rear Hatch Gas Struts: P/N and lb force?

I thought that the McMaster P/N 4138T569 was the correct gas strut for the rear hatch on 60's and 62's. After looking twice at the technical drawing I am not so sure as is says the ball threads are Ø5/16.

Can anyone confirm they exact hardware from McMaster to complete the replacement of the rear hatch gas struts?

I would not use the McMaster struts. They are too long. Order the set from lift support depot, the fit perfectly. There is a bunch of info on the posted here.

The part #s from those old threads have changed. I went through this a year ago and ended up with the struts Dyno mentions, above. Far easier with something made for the application. Use thread sealant on the Pivot balls.
