Help! My rear gate will not open from the outside as of last week. I can reach through the rear slider and open from the inside, but the outside lever will not disengage the hatch to open from the outside. Before I start to pull it apart and decipher what is wrong, I was hoping someone else in the forum had experienced this and can guide me to the problem and the solution. Thanks in advance.

I have had the same problem as well. Good luck.
First of all, it's a pain in the butt to try and get the plastic cover off of the mechanism with the door shut. Then, when you get it free you can see how everything works. In my case, the mechanism just needed some more lube on the lock, as it was 'sticky' and while the latch was operating- the lock was keeping it from opening.

Mine won't open from the inside. Any insight into this problem?
I can move the handle but it feels like the handle is not doing anything. As if the door is still locked. But it is not cause I can open it from the outside.

The children security might be the culprit.

I already checked the child security, hoping that was the culprit and a simple fix. It looks like I'll be tearing into it tomorrow and will post what I find for future reference.
