guys.. can you all please kindly check if there are rear fog lights factory equip on our LC200? why i ask?:hhmm:.. well today i saw a similar LC200 has rear fog lights (very bright) located at the two red color reflector on each corner of the rear bumper. i don't recalled i have a switch for it so i assume it is retro fitted. however, it seems all factory original to me. so am i missing out on something here? thanks a million. cheers!

why would you need fog lights behind you?

Hello, I got my cruiser doesnt have the rear fog lamp. I went to toyota to purachsed the original one and with the harness too. but my problem is i need to figure it out how to activate the rear fog. I check the owners manual to locate the fuse and there is fuse for thr rr fog. I assume that there is wire goingt o the switch. the euro version of lc200 with original rear fog equip is the switch is the same as the front fog lamp switch. all i need is to trace the wire of the rear fog going to the front fog lamp inside the steering column. any idea????

So does this mean that North America spec Land Cruiser 200 Series do not come with rear fog lamps?

What about Canadian Land Cruisers?

The reason why I ask is because the Australian LC200s do not come with rear fog lamps, and I'd like to modify my vehicle to have them.

So I'd like to get someone's help in getting a price and ordering these items if they are standard fitment, e.g. in USA or Canada, and then shipping them across to me in Australia.

last week i got my LC200 rear fog lamp drilled by the dealers to fit the toyota bulb holders. the wiring was also picked from the top taillights. Since there are no Rear fog lamp switch in the front, i got it to be the park lights and the brake light...it looks awesome, hearing compliments since..

That's what i did to my cruiser at first. But it was done terribly by the shop. So i decided to buy the original rear fog with the genuine harness. It's around $380 for the 3 items. :) now my plan is to locate the wire from underneath the steering column and wire it with the front fog lamps. whenever i switch the front fog lamps the rear fog will lit. Also, there is also a fuse located in the fuse box for the rear fog which mean that the wire exist.

Cano someone please post a picture of what the heck you are talking about?

I have no clue what a rear fog lamp is...

Brian said it was just a bright red light. Yeah, it's called a brake light over here. It's red. And it's bright. I still don't get it...

Can you please post a pic?

Your brake lights are only on when you are braking. The rear fog light is on when you turn it on.

In dense fog, your regular taillights may not be bright enough to prevent someone from unknowingly following you too closely. Then you brake, they see your brake lights, but it is too late and they hit you.

The problem with rear fog lights is that they are really annoying and distracting in good weather. They should only be used in bad fog. Unfortunately, some folks think they look cool and leave them on all the time.

I wish mine had rear fogs, not that it gets foggy over hear, but for the sake of people actually seeing me better. I think it's a great feature.

These rear fog lights are more common here with the euro vehicles...
