rear drum brake backing plate /4runner swap ?

hallo mates :

Happy New Year :

took my old rusty drum to yard - seems same diameter as 4Runner 1995 - just deeper / larger shoes - longer shoe pins

Question - anyone know if the '95 4Runner backing plate will swap to a 60 rear axle - would have pulled but could not press the axle shaft outta - thought I would ask if had been investigated before - before I invest and investigate more

My machine came outta Ontario province - so nice crusty - eventually will go with rear calipers - for now rear drums will do
drums are in great shape -

if you are near toronto...
i might have some backing plates for you. theres a rear axle sitting in my buddys ward. i will take a look if the back plates are worth taking the next time i im over there. prob free if you come dig out the axle and take the plates off yourself. (axle shaft and diff are out already...)
