Rear Cupholder

Can anyone direct me with how to install this part? I thought I could just set it on the unsterile rails and push, but I’m getting resistance and don’t want to break the part I just ordered!

Do I need to simply fold down the interior part of the holder and press in until there’s a click? Connect the silver tension spring somewhere?

Thanks!

Gotta revive this thread again. I'm new to the forum, but have been lurking for a long while. Always find good/helpful info. Anyway, I've been trying to get my '98 dialed, so I can sell it - it's time. This includes fixing the rear cup holder. The problem with mine is both sliders are broken. I saw a couple others had the same problem, but no fix/PN is listed. If someone has the PN for the sliders, I would be very grateful.

Hi Jado - I wish that I had these numbers - but I don't. You might have to dig into the parts schematics with an authorized dealer. If you find the info - please post. Mike

Hello everyone,

Long time lurker and finally got my 2004 Sand dollar pearl LX470 with all the bells and whistles.

I had a question about the cup holder for the 2nd row:

Is it supposed to slide all the way open by itself?

or

Only supposed to open a little bit so you can then pull it the rest of the way out by hand (Like in the picture)?

there's a plastic latch that pivots and mine was broken and the spring popped off so i had to super glue it back to get it to open. yours seems like it's not latching so it's staying open

Hey There,

Actually mine closes and opens just fine. Nice clean click to open and close.

I guess my question is more if the whole tray is supposed to slide out by itself? like slowly, or am I supposed to pull it out the rest of the way by hand once it clicks open?

It has to be pulled open. Be thankful yours works!
