Definitely don't make a special trip, I've got along Ok without them for a long time (actually amazed I haven't lost them). Appreciate the offer to look though.

thanks! Turns out I didn’t make it out last night...but I did take a peek this afternoon, and it looks like those are what the cup holder itself rides on—I just pulled the holder out (no hardware removal necessary—can just flex the arms inward and it pops right back) and took the pics below...

Do these look the same?

Thanks for going out and checking. I don't see a similar part anywhere in your photos so I'm just going to throw them in my box of random Land Cruiser parts and forget this whole thing. :santa:

Bought a new grey one and a bunch of oil filters from McGeorge. Took about three minutes to swap the beige trim with the grey and install. Might seem like a small thing but it’s sooo nice not to see an ajar cup holder every time I look in the back—thanks for the help, especially all the detail from @CanadianRockyCruiser
Do you happen to have the part # for the grey cupholder?

Late to this. Just got our 06. Cup holder in rear was jammed. Took a butter knife and got it open. Works great!

Same issue too. I have PN 58803-60012 but I can't figure out how to remove the original from the "rails" to be able to install the new one. Some have removed/installed in minutes but I can't figure it out. Any help appreciated, thanks!

IIRC, it just pries out. I think i undid the small phillips screws in each rail and then realized that was totally unnecessary. Just pull one rail out slightly and slide that side of the cupholder forward a smidge, then do same with other side. I'll try to go try that here in a bit so I'm not at fault for anyone breaking their rails . . .

edit: yup, just ran down to the 100, and you just apply slight outward pressure on both rails while pulling on the cup holder. Takes about 2 seconds if you hold your tongue just right.

Hi mdcoa, thanks for your help. I was successful! Added some pics with the back console cover removed in hopes of answering others future questions. Thanks!!!

Bumping this from the dead. Finally able to pry that tray open and found that the internals are completely obliterated, there's just a slide out drawer but no cupholder to be found. Would like to have it for the kids. Does anyone have part # for that assembly?

i got my cupholder today, was able to get the busted out one off the slider and swapped out the face of it to match my interior. Now I'm puzzled as there doesnt seem to be that spring loaded actions where you press the face of the cup holder and it should spring out. PO must have busted that as well because i cant figure out what's missing to make it pop out

Edit: figure out why. The leaf spring broke as it was missing one screw. I'm trying to salvage it by gluing it with gorilla glue and rummaged through my assortment of RC car screws and sure enough there was one that was the right length and thread. Letting the glue sit over night to see if the gorilla glue will hold it. Kind of doubtful but with a try.

Can someone provide me with the part number for this part?

Hello All - I've been experiencing a problem with this same cupholder on my 2004 Land Cruiser. I have a thread regarding it - but have hit a wall. Here is the issue -- I recently purchased the LC and the rear facing cupholder (from the center console) would not lock closed (it stayed open about an inch). And, the cupholder internal assembly was missing. I ordered in a perfect condition used 'drawer' complete with the internal cupholders - figuring that once this new part was installed I would have a functioning cupholder drawer. A technician installed it. All the parts are there - the pivoting pin on the receiving portion of the assembly. And the slotted 'maze' on the underside of the 'drawer' that the pin fits into. All there. The leaf springs are in fine condition and they push out the drawer as should be. However, the drawer sits out about an inch. You can push it flush with the console - but it does not lock. It comes back out about an inch. Since I have no other reference - a couple of questions:
1. It is my understanding that the way this drawer works - is that you push it in to close/lock -- and then you push it in slightly to then spring open. My drawer part goes in until it is flush with the console. Is it supposed to actually go a bit further in so that it somehow locks in place?
2. And to unlock and extend out the drawer - is the drawer then again supposed to be able to be pushed in a bit more (beyond being flush with the console)?
3. If the drawer only will to in as far as being flush with the console -- is this not correct?
4. The pivoting pin -- it is held down with a screw. I can pivot the pin using my finger. It does not move loosely. But I can move it. And when I push in the drawer - and open it again - I can see that the pin is oriented differently than before the drawer went in. Is the orientation supposed to be one way or another? And should the pin pivot freely or does it not even matter?

When I got mine, it was completely busted, the holder, every the whole shabang. I ordered a new drawer from dealership for a good price actually and installed it, found that the little arms were not there, it had broken off so I gorilla glued the plastic so that the arms would stay in its place and it worked, so far so good, kiddo havent kicked it with it opened YET.

I’m out of state and so cannot like around mine right now. I bought a new one and swapped over my beige cover (only grey is available now) works great, until the kids kick it once open and then I have to pull it out and realign and/or reinstall it….I honestly should’ve just glued the stupid thing shut or used it to mount some charging ports for the phones my kids will eventually have. We will NEVER use it for drinks, so what’s the point?

That was the route I was going to go if I couldn't get it fixed/replaced. I think Ben has some 3D printed panels just for that opening

My cup holder arms were broken when I bought my Lex and by luck a fellow forum member gave me his cup holder assembly.

Last week they were pulverized into oblivion when I folded the seat forward to pick up some furniture. I glued what I could back together to get them to at least hold a drink. I added Tesla model 3 inserts for more support for taller drinks.

Honestly I need to find a generic piece that I can place on the floor bc I will prob break the assembly again!

If someone has one of these rear facing cupholders that works -- can you tell me if when you go to open it, and you press inwards on the cover -- does the unit move slightly inwards --- to then pop open?

Correct!
