Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the rear camera system from ebay the ones were you replace the rear view mirror inside interior with there's and it becomes a camera for reversing and fit senses to your rear bumper or a small camera next to number plate.

No experience but would think the screen would be too small for my liking.

I purchased a water proof camera from amazon and it's been great so far.

Dannyboy-

Are you running an aftermarket double-DIN touchscreen head unit? When I swapped out the factory head unit for the Kenwood I bought a rear camera licenese plate frame from Amazon (with infrared) for about $65. The install guys wired it with the head unit and it engages with reverse (its also supposed to engage manually but they didn't wire it for that). Been working great for me.

It sounds like your 2001 has the factory navigation system

If that is the case, something like this to display the camera on the factory display, maybe?

LEXUS LX 1998-2002 NAVIGATION VIDEO INTERFACE

I have a 99 so no factory touch screen or NAV to worry about. I'll bow out of the conversation. I will say that I love having the camera for maneuvering in tight spaces.
