I’m new to the site and did a fair amount of research before posting but Wanted to ask for advice on rear bumper options as I have been informed by ARB that their rear bumper replacement will not work on the 2018/2019 model Land Cruiser—If no bumper replacement exists yet for these year models have any other folks been successful with tire carriers and jerrycan holders that attach other ways? Thanks in advance

You might give @sleeoffroad a call. I just had their rear installed on my ‘17, and I don’t think there were any significant changes for ‘18+. Its not the cheapest available, but the fit and finish is top shelf.

Ok good to know. ARB said it wasn’t a mounting problem but a problem with the sensors and maybe the camera for parking and backup -and if I understood correctly something that you could not deactivate leading to alarms etc. obviously you guys found a solution. I will give them a call

The Slee bumper does retain all the factory safety features, and they can relocate the camera so it is not obstructed by the tire and ladder.

I have an ARB and you can fit the ARB on the 16, 17, 18 on.
The SLEE maybe a better bumper, I'm not sure one way or the other on that.

The ARB you need to drill the holes for the sensors, and you heed to extend the wires for them. There are also some other technicalities.
The corners with the reflectors do not fit as nice with the 16,17,18, 19 .. due to the new body style. So there are some options there, you can order a 2015 rear skin and paint to match ($230 + paint) then it all fits nice ... or you can reshape the existing skin to sort of fit.
There is a few threads on the installation.
It fits nice on 2015 and prior, and after 2015 needs mods to fit. Even the 2015 and prior you need mods to fit the sensors.

The backup camera you can also reposition ... and other thread on here for that.
Look on youtube ... there is a new 2018 with the ARB front and rear on it out of TX.
Called "2018 land cruiser build"

Tons of threads on here about rear bumpers.

Cheat-sheet for your search here so you know what to look for:

@sleeoffroad = Super strong, versatile, not cheap but you get what you pay for. See my ( @Markuson ) truck and others...

@TRAIL TAILOR = Variations built to your liking, but availability not immediate as Jason (owner) is booked pretty solid... See @indycole truck and @TonyP photos from Baja and others before he sold his 200.

RLC = Solid, reasonably-priced, built to your requests. See @Willy beamin truck and others...

New offerings now in the US from Australia’s Kaymar. Talk to @wardharris or Georg at Valley Hybrids in Stockton. They are importing these as of very recently.

Personally, I think the ARB rear is outdone (strength-wise) by any of the above. ARB bull bars are super stout, but just less impressed with the strength of ARB’s rear.

Appreciate the advice spoke with Slee if I can make it work locally I am going to get it and put it on in Texas... if not guess I will have to drive to Colorado 😬

@benc at Dissent Off Road is another one to consider. First class operation. Getting front and rear bumpers from Dissent.

Here is our new aluminum steel hybrid rear bumper. The weight as pictured is under 200 lbs.
The last pic is with the camera upgrade and relocation. That is with both swing arms shut and you can still see the hitch.

Our rear Factory bumper was obviously designed by the same person that came up with a Honda Pilot rear bumper it's identical and hideous I can't stand it..

So since I banged up the rear bumper yesterday, looks like I'll be shopping. Reading through some of this, I have some leaning, but anyone have anything to chime in towards anything, I'm listening

LOL That's exactly my position! I got tapped in a parking lot a year or two ago, but TT was not making more rear bumpers at the time and Slee hadn't had time to get his ready for production at the time. It was still drive-able but not a pretty as it was before.

I waited for three months before my wife had finally had enough of me showing up in $85K vehicle that came out of a wrecking yard. Went back to factory and sure enough a couple of months later Slee called and said it was ready. Ugh! Now just have to wait until some other careless person comes along.
