Rear bumper options for 2018?

CBI is wishy washy and never commits to the 200. They told me they had no plans to make 200 bumpers again.

Your best bet outside ARB is to try and arrange a drive to Slee, Dissent or Trail Tailor (if he’s up for fabbing you one). Nobody is shipping them right now it seems like. In person you’ll have a better chance to snag one, these shops are already busy and the time and effort it takes to ship isn’t worth it.
I have trail tailor deposit on one, he said he had one that was up for grabs to be put into queue. I immediately sent deposit. Now waiting for a few months to build and ship out.

👍

The Slee aluminum non-carrier rear bumper is now in production!

The Slee aluminum non-carrier rear bumper uses the same support system as their steel carrier rear bumper but the ‘shell’ is aluminum.

I’m scheduled to have the aluminum non-carrier rear bumper installed at Slee Off Road in July.

😁

I'm interested in the Slee one too. Any mention of price? I'm debating between the Slee vs Dissent. Both seem like great products and use a hybrid steel and aluminum design. The one pro I can see with the Dissent is that if I decide I want a swing out in the future I can always add it on later as it's a modular design. I don't think you'd be able to retrofit swing arms to the non-swing Slee down the road if you chose to do so.

Give Slee Off Road a call @ (888) 494-7533 for pricing and availability.

I called Dissent first and was told to submit via their "Contact us" webform on the site for pricing and availability. So far nothing back from them.
I apologize you did not receive the form! I did confirm with Cole that it was sent. I believe he resent after seeing this post but please check your spam. If you still do not receive please call and let us know.
thanks!

That is correct, swing outs can be added at anytime. A couple other pros are our extensive experience with aluminum fabrication as well as several more inches of ground clearance. This bumper was originally designed as a hybrid steel aluminum and not a steel design made from aluminum. This is crucial as an aluminum bumper requires a very strategic approach on the engineering side to ensure it’s up to the abuse offroad. Not saying the others are not but certainly things to consider.

Looks awesome except for the big muffler ... I am still holding for a Slee rear bumper will see maybe get them back in stock by the summer or fall , I pushed back my 200 build till winter , parts are slow coming .

It is just a resonator, easily chopped off and from what I've seen, most people with aftermarket bumpers end up chopping them off at some point,.

Ben Brings up a great point on aluminum construction. While our new rear bumper stays consistent with exterior aesthetics, a careful eye will detect several differences on the inward side of the bumper that were added to make sure that it will hold up for years to come.

We are very blessed to have such high quality options to choose from in our small community.

Cheers!!

I can confirm the Slee aluminum rear is extremely solid. I actually dragged it in a few places intentionally to test how much clearance was gained and to see how strong it was. As you can see at the very end of this short clip I dropped onto the driver rear corner with no drama.

I was waiting on a rear from slee for my build its been 6 months , missed the window to start my 200 build so I figure I would drive it in stock condition for another season so I bought this to put the 35”s I had planned for my build , maybe someone will build a bumper similar to Slee or I’m in no hurry but need the rear bumper to just do the build on my 200.
Mean while putting the 35”s that were intended for the 200 on the Jeep this weekend .

I have had 2 Slee bars on my 100 Series and again chose Slee for my 200 build, great design, function, finish and quality build and if you think they are expensive in the USA import one to Australia
