Hi Everyone, I've been noticing my rear brakes are squealing. 2009 LX currently at 120k miles, bought it at 85k miles, and I suspect the rear brake pads need replacing. My front pads and rotors were replaced a few months ago fwiw.

My local dealership has a "special" brake pad replacement service at $399. Is the price reasonable?

Depends on what your opinion of reasonable is. $399 to me sounds like somewhat of the going rate at premium dealerships.

Breaking down costs
1) Rear brake pads ~$65
2) Fit kit (which I doubt they replace and reuse the parts) ~$13
3) Brake lube (bulk) ~$0.50
4) Labor .5 hrs (assuming $140 rate) $70

$150 in firm costs. Confidence in a premium job well done, priceless? Brakes are some of the most lucrative jobs they do.

Yah, price is at dealership in fairly well off suburb. I guess it's the price people will pay to avoid traffic, along with having a loaner car.

Anyone who lives in the Seattle Eastside area who can recommend a trusted indy?
