2003 LC with 119k on it

anyone else have this happening? is it tied into the cabin thermostat trying to maintain a set temp?

fresh air / recirc also defaults to recirc all the time...is this normal?

thanks

ah interesting
I'll double check, but the first thing I did when I bought it with 87k on it was throw away the jump seats and turn off the way back air control
I'm single and would never change it back there, but I wonder if a passenger messed with it...dirtbags

I think the rear ac is completely dead as long as the front button is not clicked. Wouldn't matter what the rear setting were if the rear AC isn't even turned on.

When clicked the button lights up. Wonder if it is actually ON but the indicator light is burned out.

On my 2003 it does not work as described above. If my daughter is in the back and she hits the button it will turn on regardless of whether I have hit the button up front or not.

I have had this happen. I'm driving along, all of a sudden the rear air turns on. What gives?

Mine does the same thing when the rear "auto" button has been pushed. Turn it off.

Good to know about the rear controls overriding the front on / off switch. I've seen my boy messing with the buttons but never noticed if he actually activated anything. I never thought he could turn it on from the rear.

I double checked mine and it was NOT on auto
but I have a way back thermostat that was set to high temp
maybe that was overriding the manual on/off button
my rear air light DOES work

My 2003 does this all the time. I think it is charming.
