I havent seen anyone advertise that they are going to make them. Bobby L said he is not planning on it. I have heard rumors that PIG has some planned. Who am i missing? I need both rear shafts and dont want to go the stock route if i dont have too.

I will update this when i pic up my rig but this last break took out a clean break on long side and twisted splines on long side. Short side didnt break but twisted splines.. NEED an upgrade bad.

If you have heard of anyone making these post it up.

thanks

Jared

fullfloat or semifloat?

semi's, don't hold your breath....but a fullfloater outta be "relatively" easy.

IMO, contact PIG and see what it'd take....they get theirs thru Superior IIRC....I'm expecting a call from them today actually....lol (on my FJ40 front inner tho....)

I think Christo posted something the other day that they are working on some. Might give him a call.

Full float. ..... waiting on a call back from PIG.. interested to see if slee becomes a venodor of some sort....

I would call Jack at CTM and see if he is interested in making you some axles.

Don't think you would be breaking 300M anytime soon...

Good luck!

I just pre- ordered my set of 4340 rear shafts from PIG.

details, sounds slick. They are making the flange with an extra set of holes to drill and tap for extra studs.

4340.. smooth finish instead of the rough from oem.

sounds like the design hasnt changed much as there isnt really a "neck" anywhere on a OEM full float shaft.

420 bucks... at this piont very well worth it.

they are about 3-5 weeks from shipping. hope it doesnt turn out to take 6 months or something like these first batches do sometimes.

Oh and props to PIG. called me back super quick. super helpful.

"PIG"?

The 40, 60, 80 series rears are in production........

There are some upgrades all all of these units including the flange upgrade you guys are talking about.

Contact us or Slee (thanks Ben for pushin us to make these) to get em pre ordered.

Yea, there really wasnt much to improve of the actual shaft design IMO.

TTT.. Christo? You know any more about details on the semifloater shafts? C-clip eliminator in em possibly? WE're snappin 40 and 60 long shafts in the back like twigs these days! I'm guessin pig doesn't have much time to surf.

NW or Gary, either of you get these set up to run rear hubs?
thanks
Mike

Yeah, I was thinking more of the flat-towing option or to get your a$$ out of a bad situation like NW had - not that you'd break these but I guess at this point your r&p are the weak point.

obviously these are not for hubs, I dont see myself flat towing. Makes sense if a R or P went but sheesh... not sure who has ever taken out a rear R&P on an 80 series. I also have this cool cover made by the shop that helped out with my preious ish so if i have to pull the third i have a cover to put in its place and drive in front wheel drive with no rear third. .....
