For all you new owners; don't you feel bad for all the ones whom don't own one yet.;) For everyone out there who doesn't have one yet, what are you waiting for? Other than the fact of a little shortage. I get a lot of double takes and what is that? Some people like it better than the H2! Let me know what you think.

Mine is on order, but I have a major concern.
I have read on about 3 different forums now a phenomenon which can be quite dangerous.

The danger is from gawkers.
Many speed up and try and get next to you to check out what kind of a rig this is since there has been no public advertising.

This can be dangerous as some will get next to your blind spot.
Toyota needs to come out with side radar like they have for the rear to let you know when you have gawkers at your side in the blind zone :D

I have heard of a few near misses when an FJ owner is trying to change lanes and the gawkers are not paying attention to their driving, but instead are in full rubberneck/gawk mode.

True. True. But it is kind of flatering. Soon you wil find out the same feeling. Good luck with yours and let everyone know the reaction to yours.

I hate to say it, but the Hummer H3 looks better.

The FJ is just a 4Runner with a different dress.

I love the new look because it is different. I think the H3 is downright ugly though.

No one's listening and no one's replying. Take a hint?

Sheesh....you just did!

Plastic+different does not = character. And I have absolutely no respect for a land cruiser sans solid axles. Are spinners an option?

Not waiting for anything. There's a 99% chance I'd never own one, since I generally don't go for marketing gimicks over utility.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here, since those people who do put any positive opinion towards the H2 aren't exactly worth listening to, and that therefore makes the FJ even less. Please don't go around telling people that. :)

ouch !! bad taste on display :ban: Everything on the road looks better than an H3

yep be scared of gawkers. Saw a little kid (17-19) years old standing on my roof. Took him down and lets say he aint gonna get close to the FJ anytime soon. He dented it. Nothing big those looks like It can be popped out.

17-19 is not a little kid. Once you hit that age you are usually a grown man.

Congrats vegasgolds! I dig the FJ, maybe in a couple years when the price of used ones is decent I'll get one for the wife.
Or maybe for me...I'm thinking solid axle swap, gears, 37's, chop the back off and go ute. HMMMM:bounce2:
