Real Time Help- Tranny Gaskets

I've currently got my '64 3-Speed Toyota Tranny cleaned and disassembled. Unfortunately, when I opened the box that contained the new gaskets not all of them where there- go figure. Can I make my gaskets with some gasket maker stuff or is the paper gasket a necessity?
