Real time help Irvine, CA

99 LC - had to be towed off I-5 (Carlsbad) late last night and now in Irvine (Residence Inn on Main and Jamboree) passenger front bearings are toast. I am looking for a shop "nearby" that you guys have used in the past that is trustworthy. Any help is appreciated.

I thought it was the drive plates or ring and pinion. Taking the drive plate off revealed black grease with (small) metal pieces.

I am going to take it apart to see what else it might need. I have bearings with me BUT if I need to change race or spindle I would want a shop to do this.

I used Toyota of Irvine for a pre-purchase inspection. While it was at arms length, I talked to the folks and didn't get the funky 'car dealer vibe' or anything, other than the service manager wanted to buy it out from under me!

Since you're a) on the road, and b) have a relatively minor repair I'd probably just use the dealer and pay book rate for the work.
