Driver door wont open from the inside or outside. The driver door lock button seems to be stuck and wont move.

Would this be the door lock actuator failing I've read about or another problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update. Got the door to open by pressing hard on the manual lick button inside the door but now it wont lock.

Actuator?

If your saying you can't move the manual rocker that is at the handle then it's a mechanical problem.

The actuator will just quit working electrically but won't bind anything up.

I would try rolling the window down and then working on getting the locks to free up by using the key from the outside and the manual lock from the inside. Hopefully it frees up.

Barring that you may be stuck trying to remove the interior door panel to fix it which might be faster if you unbolt the driver seat so you can work around it more easily. Would be a lot easier to work on obviously if you could get it to open at least once..

Good Luck!

Ah, we simulposted...

Does it lock with the key from the ouside?

Could be the latch it'self.
Could be the key barrel.

I would probably pull the door interior panel to get a look at things at this point..

So the lock tab wont lock by pushing it in or lock with the driver lock button or with the key remote.

It will lock now with the key inserted but the lock is stiff and takes some pressure to actually lock.

I wonder if there is moisture that maybe froze up the mechanical parts? It is 19 degrees plus wind chill. Im going to see how it plays out then attempt to take the door panel off since light is fading. They were some snow thy got down in to the window yesterday.

tomorrow I will attempt to take the door panel off. My brain isn't as fast as my fingers.

Before pulling the panel. Try to warm up the door, like in a garage and see if it works better after warming up. Use a hair dryer if you don't have a warm place to park truck. Almost sounds like frozen parts in there.

Agree, if you got some snow down there and it's below freezing I would get it good an warmed up next and see what happens.

Thanks for all the guidance. After it got warmed up all started to work then it sat for an hour and same thing happened.

Seems like something is freeze up.

I appreciate the help?
