Delancy- being stuck in the middle sucks! This any closer than Norcal?

It was in my "WTB" thread looking for a 1995-1997 with under 150K.

"BTW, the one in Newton is a great truck. If there's a DIY'er on here, it's a solid truck with a few issues that the owner has listed. Everything on it works and it's super clean. Unfortunately, I don't have time right now to DIY, so I'd have to pay somebody to fix the Y-pipe/#1 cat and rear diff, so it'd be quite pricey. Also, my OCD would probably make me replace the tires, another few hundred. The owner is an honest guy too. I'd buy this truck, but based on the work it needs, the owner and I just couldn't reach a deal. "

Honestly, I'm planning on bidding on the truck and I have a standing offer to the owner on the truck. We're not far apart, but I can't go up more and he won't come down. I can totally understand he wants top dollar for the truck, it's a nice truck. I wish I had more time to DIY so I could raise my bid for the truck a bit, but I just don't have the time. Time = money and my kid/work just takes too much of mine to have time to get under a truck for any significant amount of time. It's too bad. I'm sure I'll regret missing out on this one.

Anyway, best of luck to anyone that's going to bid against me!

If I had any more clout here, I'd ask for a bidding moratorium from others and I'd start a fundraiser to assist you in acquiring, T.

I searched up an down for the thread containing the original link, and now know why I didn't find.
Apologies for bringing to the forefront.

I would've PM'd but I figured everyone's tired of my PMs and eBay threads anyway. Haha.

I'm finishing my "WTB" thread and it's so long it'll probably require me to purchase a titanium star.
I figure I want what I want, and I know it exists, so willing to wait......and it's not maroon, so I won't be the other guy bidding (cdel2**2, for verification. Haha).

Hoping to see you post up a "my new cruiser" thread as bad as I want to post my own.

Hey C,

No worries at all! I'm a big fan of the free market economy, so if anyone wants it, I encourage them to bid. I've made up my mind on what I can spend on that truck and I've told the owner. If somebody wants to pay more, then that's cool, best of luck to the new potential owner and seller!

If it works out and I end up with the truck, I'll be psyched, but if I don't, that's cool. I'm chasing a few others down as I type. There's actually a couple local ones and I may go on another road trip on Thursday to check a few out a couple hundred miles away.

Like you, I know what I want, so I'll wait. I'm not a low-ball guy, so I offer what I think is fair and if the seller doesn't agree, I move on. I'm actually a bit over what I wanted to spend on my offer on this truck, but that's ok.

Best of luck!
Todd
