I want to get one or the other, but I need pushed off the fence in one direction. I already have a first gen T-Maxx with some upgrades. No matter which one I get, it will be the 3.3 version.

Anyone have any relevant comparison experience to share?

Both are great, although the T-Maxx is getting a little dated. If you're just gonna be backyard bashing, get whichever sells you the best. If you want to go fast and race and junk, get the Revo. If you plan to play in the rocks and mud and the like, get the Tmaxx.

The Revo is better set up for racing out of the box. But i do like all 3 of my T-maxx.

Get the one that your local hobby shop stocks parts for.....Mail order sucks when you have to pay $9.00 shipping and handling on a $2.00 part.

Save your pennies and get a Tamiya Bruiser...Ole School Rules!!!

Both being the same brand (Traxxas), that shouldn't be an issue.

I actually DO have a Tamiya Subaru Brat...bought it when I was around 11 or 12. Back then, you had to assemble R/C cars when you got them home. I noticed one just sold on ebay for 589.00, new in the box. I'm all for old school, but that's a bit much. Matter of fact, I've been noticing all the same youth toys I had growing up going for big bucks- the same skateboard, a GT Pro Performer BMX, a Pac-Man watch I had, Atari 2600, etc... I still have all of them and can't decide if I should let go or not. I hate selling stuff. I always miss it. I had a 1/8 scale Mugen Athlete back when that was cool, and I sold it a couple years ago.

Oh, and it looks like its gonna be the Revo. I had suspension concerns (bottoming out), but I dropped both of them from nose level, and the Revo sucked it up VERY nicely. I think its gonna have better tuned steering too.

I'll keep my old .15 Maxx Gravedigger around for beatin' on.

Thanks for all the input!

Dave.
