I noticed a rattling noise under exterior vent louver:

According to this parts graph it seemed to be held there by some sort of clip:

I'm wondering if it's OK to try to pry it out with a flat screwdriver. Has someone done this before? This piece of plastic sells for $54.92 I don't want to damage it.

From the diagrams, it appears to be held by "1-time" clips as I call them. I'd take the interior panel to be sure so you can view them from the inside. But it appears from the diagram a screwdriver should work.

Rattling when? Driving down the road or when you shut one of the doors?

Reason I ask is there's a flap inside the vent to keep the weather out. The sudden pressure diff when shutting a door with all windows up causes the vent flap to make a slapping sound. Windows down, not even noticeable.

Something I noticed on my truck when I first got it.

Any of a number of things may be rattling:
Jack/tools and storage compartments of cargo area.
Spare tire/hangar.
Rear wig window bracket. (rattles when open)

You're right, thanks! I noticed it when shutting a door, tried again with windows down and it's gone. I'm having a serious OCD about nailing down every tiny issue on my new to me '05 LC - just got a can of expensive BG44K :shy:

Yep, I like that big vent. Even though it's a functional vent, it's also a cool styling element. Too bad it disappeared on the 200 series.

Walk by that vent when the heater fan is on and you'll feel a breeze blowing out. I was supposed the first time I passed it.
