put power to it and she ran.
has a crusty terminal on the motor.
needs cables and a solenoid cover at least.
looks like 2000/01 according to the tag.

not much here.
the armature stud broke coming apart. even after soaking for weeks.
tried my local shop. no dice.

these may also work on warns. the brush assembly looks basically identical.


 
I have an identical winch for free also, i haven't tested it would like to play with it and put it to use or sell it. I acquired a 10k Warn could be a busted gear worth keeping if parts are available.

Parts are readily available for any "modern" Warn winch, from 1974 on.

Thanks, will look into it if ever I get a chance to break it down.
 
i got the brush set.
installed them.
fůckery.
as per everything else chyna. required mods to fit.

after hammers and cussing, it fits meow.
this thing is in really good shape. clean oil in it still.
replaced a few bolts.
played with it on the desk. the freespool leaves a little something to be desired.
the rope attachment method on the drum is much better than anything warn.
so that being said im probably not tearing this one down. will probably clean up and save for the farm or something.
