I brought this used 14 LX570 from a Lexus dealer a little over month ago.
The vehicle leaks every time it rains... only on the passenger side.
I could feel the water under the dash compartment and you can see the water travelling down to the carpet (only 20 mins of light rain while parked).

The sunroof drain line is clear and drains properly.
The water doesn't smell coolant and only happens when it rains.
Windshield is an aftermarket unit so I'm assuming the seal might be bad or missing plastic rivets.

What should I do at this point?
I don't have $2K to replace the glass w/ OEM.
Any other area to check?
Anyone just replaced the seals and not the entire glass?

Looks like you are still in early stages. Mine was letting a lot more water through. But since it’s failed weather stripping, I assume it starts slow. Could also be your windshield, but mine looked almost identical.

I'm almost a year in and still no issues on repair.

Thanks for the link and also sharing your experience.
I searched the forum extensively but seems like everyone was blaming for the missing plastic rivets or bad installation, etc.
Never thought about the cowl area as a source...
I read the entire thread very carefully, and it looks very promising... I will have to take it apart tomorrow.
BTW, do you have an aftermarket windshield as well?

My windshield is OEM, no idea if it’s been replaced. Windshield replacement isn’t really relevant to this leak, unless the windshield installers did a crap job of reinstalling the cowl cover. I’d be surprised if a poorly sealed windshield leaked anywhere but the A Pillars. Yours is dripping right where the HVAC intake is.

if you look at any of the pictures where the cowl cover is removed, you can see the windshield hangs over the sheet metal of the window frame. Not saying it’s impossible, but seems like it would take a miracle to get any significant amount of water to roll around that lip and back under the frame.

That makes sense... I have very narrow and specific area for the leak to occur.
I also removed the cover under the dash compartment and surprised to see all the electrical components are pretty much dry.
Thanks again for your help... I will try to repair it asap.
