Raffle Truck Wrap-up

Guys,

We have some loose ends to tie-up on the raffle truck over the next few weeks.

I have gathered most of the missing parts we need (thank you Shmukster!). We will need help putting it all together....specifically:

- Can someone take ownership for cleaning-up the wheel that Shmukster sent us and get the spare tire mounted on it? The wheel is in a box at Jeff's, sitting in front of the raffle truck. The tire is there as well.

- I have dropped off the following parts that need to be installed:
- Roll bar plates (to replace the bent ones, thanks to Jakes40!)
- Radiator support brace (Shmukster again)
- oval-headed machine screws for the hardtop to windshield frame L-brackets
- Power outlet for the utility light (mounts in the dash pocket)

I have the following items and will drop them off at Jeff's before leaving town this week:
- Hood stanchion (Shmukster yet again).
- Blower vent screen (from guess who, yes the Coal Cracker!)

- I also have the "dead and gone" battery to use as a core so I will pick-up a new one sometime this week.

I will not be able to work on the truck until weekend after next, so if someone has some idle hands this weekend, please have at it! Bring a small supply of 6mm bolts (maybe a 5mm as well), nuts and washers as they will come in handy mounting the radiator support and power outlet. I think we also need at least one 8mmx1.25-20 bolt for the air filter bracket and a wingnut (5mm?).

I dropped off 3 coffee cans of OEM bolts to the parts truck, so there should be plenty to choose from.

I have to clean and paint the hood stanchion so it won't get to Jeff's until next week.

List of things left to do to the Raffle Truck:

1. Install 2 front HT to windshield screws
2. Bolt rear HT sides to tub
3. Block off 2 hoses in engine bay.
4. Install battery.
5. Need new battery hold-down
6. Need DS Radiator support
7. Need 1977 parking brake switch
8. Check function of all lights, horn, indicators, brake lights etc...
9. Grease all points on chassis: steering center arm, tie rod ends, relay rod end, drive shafts
10. Drain engine coolant and refill with coolant/water
11. Touch-up paint?
12. Tighten engine drive belts
13. Once over of every bolt on the truck.
14. Top up all fluids
15. Final test of all systems: steering, brakes, shifting, 4wd and hubs
16. Clean out truck, vacuum and wipe down interior mats
17. Acquire spare rim and mount spare tire on rim
