I have an ‘03 LC with OEM Radio/nav System. About 3 weeks ago, I was in traffic and quickly hit the brakes. The CD I was listening to went almost completely quiet (could barely hear with volume all the way up and not driving).

Today (in traffic again with a quick stop), the radio went dead and the nav screen went blank. The AC system screen still works.

Suggestions for problem diagnosis and/or resolution?

Was the radio ever pulled to add a Bluetooth adapter, iPod adapter, etc?

Will be doing that on my day off tomorrow. I was kinda thinking this is a simple thing, but never knew that hitting brakes made things break. Jiggling connections loose is logical for that, but I’ve slowed faster and with more force. Just odd!

I want to thank all for their help on this, esp TXSunDevil for the wiring diagram. Here was the solution: the fuse panel on the passenger-side kickpanel had a "Radio" fuse that was blown.

But now, the CD player seems like the amp is blown (can barely hear the CD playing) when every other part of audio system works. Does anyone know WHERE it is on the Cruiser, and if busted, where I can get another?
