The radiators are made by Performance Radiator out of Tacoma, WA. The Toyota parts dept. that sells them does so in place of the OE alternative. My guess is that they like the manufacturer and the product.

I've heard the performance radiators for cruisers are not the best quality. Thanks for the info anyway.

thats a DEAL I bought mine from Performance right at the wherehouse in Tacoma, even with the car lot discount(Connie) I still paid $150, retail is $200. My Toyota dealer also uses them for OEM replacemnet, no issue, IMOP the rad is as good or better then OEM and I am a OEM nut

I need to replace mine too, but now that you mention the quality, I might try Performance.

its the same construction as OEM, fits like OEM and my favorite test of aftermarket rads........it wieghts the same as the OEM. Oh and it cools great.

they have gotten good reviews over at the 3fe list.

I have an old radiator out of a '84 FJ60 I parted out for my 45 project. "It worked when I pulled it" That was a year ago. PM me if you're interested.
