Cruiserdan? Radiator.com? Radiators.com? Radiator Express?

I've been shopping around and its been a while since I've known anyone who has dealt with any of these guys... I might be better off getting one from Cdan but i know there is some good quality aftermarket stuff out there. Any tips are appreciated, thanks, Kief.

Downey Of Road has some sweet aluminum radiators...

I just have experience with OEM radiators; got one for my 62 many years ago, the original radiators all seem to develop leaks at the tank seams. The replacement OEM is still perfect 15 years later.

Go with a CSF radiator # 2226 for a 60 and 2708 or 2709 depending on the year of the 62. ( csfimports.com ) They're the same radiator SOR , MAF and CCOT sell as their aftermarket units. All-metal, 4-core.

If you have a 60, they may try to give you a 2708 - same unit, but with cooler lines. They 2226 are a little hard to find right now because I think they're moving to just one unit for all models... but if you have a 60, get the 2226, hold out for it. Very nice rad.

Again, made by CSF radiator in Rialto, CA I had to call them to find a distributor for the 2226

I got mine from radiatorexpress.com $220

I got one for my FJ60 from Performance Radiator. It's 4 core and has been perfect for at least 2 years. I think all of the mail order houses are linked and the same, so performance may be the same as radiator barn, express etc.

I bought a CCOT junk rad. Looked nice for about 6 months. 2 years later it looks like my OEM one at 20 years. I am more than a little ticked and wont put wont touch a CCOT rad again. Like most other things its OEM or nothing at all.

Although for the price you could get a nice AL one for less than the price of an OEM one.

Performance is my preference, I have use 3 of them, 40, 60, 62 and all are just like OEM, its what i would use again.

related before but here goes again. You can buy a nice 4 core "brass" type old school radiator on the autozone web site. Its the higher priced one of the two or three they list. I bought one , more than a year ago and have had no problems. Never run over 205F, stock engine with A/C, which of course I use in the summer.

I just went down to the local radiator shop. Nothing in stock of course, but they ordered one and was there the next day for $210.
I think it was made in Malaysia or somewhere there abouts. The quality was good.

I've got an extra radiator for a 62. The top where the radiator cap screws on got bent up in shipping. I don't know if someone can weld a new one on but I'd sell it to you for cheap if you're interested. I was just going to hold onto it for future use but as its using up space..... Pm me if you're interested.

Anyone know if its fixable? Seems like it would be.

I got one from Downey, Custom made for my never ending swap Quality seems good and ports are on same side (passenger side) with built in tranny cooler

Went OEM. Aftermarket can be a bit spotty. Tube thickness, header construction, etc.

TLCA members get 25% off at a number of dealers. I have used Champion Toyota in Houston for years. Shipping is generally less than sales tax in California.

Fj 62 radiator: AFAIK they are 3/4 of an inch shorter, fan shroud will not work on an FJ60 as the in/out tubes are closer together... I had one in a 60 of mine that the PO replaced and he couldn't figure out why it wouldn't!
You should be able to have a radiator shop weld/solder your old one in or sell it as a fixer upper..
A little tip: If you have the time keep take your old radiator down to the metal salvage yard/ less the metal support on the sides Copper and brass= $$$. Radiator shops are more than willing to dispose of them for you at no charge... duh.
Thanks again.

Ditto that. Performance sells a great product at the what seems to be the best price around. I have been running one for four years with my 350 and never had an issue. I just put one in my wife's Grand Caravan (PITA!!!) Again, an exact replica of the OME and the best price I could find anywhere. Dodge wanted $500, Performance $154.

Try National Parts Depot. They just started carrying radiators for just about everything. Free shipping.
NPDCool | NPDCool.com They have 3 and 4 row as well.
