I just discovered a pin hole leak coming out from the top of the rad and was wondering if there is a product I could use to repair, which I'd rather do than replace. I was thinking the two part j-weld? Properly cleaning the area and applying something, not sure what though.

I tried JB weld on a pinhole leak on my old MGB, but it just kept swelling and popping.

Took it to my local radiator shop, and for $40 they brazed and painted it. Never had an issue after...

i did the j weld a few years ago and i got me through a summer out here in seattle without trouble.

There's always solder... depends on where the leak is as to how easy or hard it is to do...
Propane, an iron, or acetylene will all work.

And a shop can do it easily, too.

How about products like egg or alumi seal?
I'm not sure on availability but, what ever your local parts store is should have it.

My advice is to get it fixed properly, otherwise we will see another post about " why is my truck overheating ".

Take the time to fix it properly is the best advice.

Avoid using the dump in products like bar's and such unless in an emergency situation. While they work temorarily they also clog your heater cores eventually.

This is all good advise fellas. My cooling system needs attention anyways ie hoses/clamps, so I'm going all in and pulling the rad and getting it braised possibly replaced. Replacing all hoses and clamps. This way a proper inspection can be completed. Warm weather is in it's way and I'll be driving her more frequently.
