There are a few here in town. I'll see if I can get some ideas.

The molded pieces are the PITA. There was a guy that had made his own up in Jackson but I never paid too much attention to them. If memory serves, he cut the molded step and then built the slider under the straight line he cut. I'd say the bottom of the slider rail was pretty much the same height as the bottom of the molded step.

I'll call around to my Jackson contacts and see it anyone can locate it and snap some pics.

Forgive the crude mark up pic but from memory and 2 years ago.

I thought of this as well, you'll probably never be able to see the cut lines with a slider sitting there. I think this is the practical way to go. I much rather not have to spend an extra $800 for whatever for the LC side moulding.

Exactly.... If I go that route on the 570 sliders I would supply an edge/mold trim to clean up the cut line like we do for the bumper to trim lines. I'm not worried about the slider ever hitting the trim piece..

The cut looks pretty self explanatory--- STRAIGHT--- But, I'd probably need to supply a template etc.. for the less skilled.

yeah that would be perfect! get em' done so i can order a set!

does that pic mean you're making a rear bumper for the 200 as well? i seemed to have missed that.

Thats awesome...we need more options!

I'm not building production bumpers anymore, just one off builds. Basically just racks, sliders, control arms and misc other items are my base production line now.

Recovery point R&D to start soon along with a few other 200 items.

Jason,
Have you looked at the frame for the LX? It is very crowded under there with all of the AHC components mounted where you would normally mount sliders. I am not sure how Slee is getting around this, but I thought I would flag it.

Yes, the AHC CRAP CORRIDOR.... There will be a "work around" to get it to install. I actually talked with a lady this morning that will let me come and take measurements off of her 570. Weird that she sorta knew what I was talking about.... I GUESS I'LL TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM.... if need be...

Maybe incorporate a replacement for those protective bars into the design and just replace those with the slider? Just spit balling.

Slee showed photos of their sliders and those bars were removed.

I was saying remove the bars but use the sliders as protection for the AHC components which I'm guessing the bars are for. That should clear up some room for mounting. Which is what Slee did, so never mind.
That's what i was saying too ha

I'm in Green River, WY. If you can swing down for a 2-3 day weekend I'm sure I can get you a set made up.

Jason,
I mentioned this to my wife this morning and she didn't scream at me and start beating me about the head and neck... so a very positive response! Not sure what a set will go for, but I know that they are not in my budget at this time, but I WILL keep this in mind as this is probably the only mod I would really like to do to the LX just to keep it dent free!

I'll be watching this thread and would love to see photos once you get a set made!
