@TonyP has the first dibs on the first set if he prefers over the standard for his custom armor build that will start in the next 2 weeks.

I want in on sliders for the LX!

Standard vs upgraded swing arm spindle. Upgrade spindle will have a Trail Tailor billet aluminum cap.
Standard 2000# vs upgraded clamps 4000#

I'm stoked! Can't wait to get it back all armored up. Guess I'll be driving one of my neglected BMWs for a while. Just in time for this 70 degree weather, all windows open, a lovely 5-speed/straight-6 and the smell of a leaking gas tank vapor hoses; a BMW owners dream.

One of my old Chevron bosses was a BMW crazy... He had a few really nice tuned up T2000s and a CS Nova. But, his true baby IIRC, was a 1957 BMW 507 he had brought over from England.

In my opinion, the 507 is probably the best looking car BMW has ever made. Too bad they're valued about $1.9M on Hagerty . I'll have to stick with my three 80s era moneypits for now.

I think he said he got it at auction for 1.3m back in 2004/5. I never got to see it in person, just pics parked in his shop next to the other BMWs he had. Nice little roadster.

Very nice - looking forward to watching this..... loving the rear panhard BTW - it should be standard part of any larger lift...

Waiting for a truck this morning I got to look at the tailgate storage.

Easy enough and think this will happen for sure @TonyP I'll be modifying 2 of my other tailgate lids for this. One for your rig and the other to go to the laser cutter for production. I'll pop the cover and drawers out next week and start digging in more at night after bumper and skid work.

Rigid LEDs arrived as well.

Is that metal?
That looks very well built if you need the strength there...
...but to me I'm picturing burnin my butt something terrible in hot summer sun, and screws/bullets that roll off.

What do you think?
It looks like Aluminum. I guess you shouldn't wear your thong swimsuit when out shooting then, eh? ;)

Ha! loled at that one. I shall forego the thong... :hillbilly:

Someone did do a very nice job on that setup.
