I know zero about PW's: Is there a diesel (I assume Cummins) option for them?

Like I said above it rides great ,the springs are unique only for the PW but there is a trade off.... less towing cap.

Nope.
The disconnecting sway bar and winch take up the real estate that the diesel intercooler does. So no room for the diesel.
The good news is that ARB makes a locker for the front and rear axles used in the diesel, so you can get close to building your own...

There aren't many new trucks that ride TERRIBLY!
Check this out....you can wheel them evidently as long as you take pallets with you!!
You should be fine though...this is a mega cab!!

I guess I better start collecting pallets
ken
You can score about 10-15 of them before Wal-Mart employees see you on camera and threaten the law dogs on you....![]()
I should be all right the truck is black , that means its stealth........... right . ?.??
Ya me and you both
I have no I idea how I would let the 80 go, I ADORE IT!
That said it might be time to move on, MIGHT....
The replacement plan (if you could call it that) would be a(modified) double cab, short bed full size, diesel P/U with a pop up camper.
Heck I dont know but the problem is once I get an Idea, its like a freight train and I will get it done and figure it out later...

I just need to figure out what I'm going to do, because the next vehicle is going to stay with me for awhile.![]()
Ha, ha, ha. Whew, it's a good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read that.

Ken: Do you know/have you met J.C. Brandon He's got a PW...lives in Minden area. Great guy...loves to explore.
You beat me to it! Why do they SEEM so much wider than a 100?
Ha, ha, ha. Whew, it's a good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read that.
I think that would make a great wheeler/explorer. I have been thinking of a '03-'06 Dodge, ex-cab, shortbed, Cummins, Four Wheel camper on the back and have a ball. The only reason I like that gen Dodge, are the ex-cab doors and the Common-Rail Cummins is pretty quiet and it is before the '07 emissions crap started.

I think Ken nailed it. Their mirrors stick out like a moose rack. Oops. I said moose and rack in the same sentence. Now the Palin jokes are going to start.
All I can say about her is that she is HOT!![]()
