Quick Timing belt install question

Do I need to remove the spark plugs when turning engine over by hand (making sure all the timing marks are lined up) to make sure there is no compression built in cylinders?

I recently replaced the plugs and now I am about to do the timing belt, that's why I am asking...

No you dont. I did my belt and did not remove the plugs. If i recall it may make it easier but not needed.

It will make the engine easier to turn over by hand, but otherwise unnecessary.

no you don't need to but easier to turn with no plugs.
