Do you sing to it too?landtank said:One thing that I might add to Dougs proceedure is preheating the filter. I set my oven to 120 deg and place the filter in the oven out of it's box and the plastic film removed just as I'm going out to start the change. This way the gasket is slightly softened and the can has expanded to a mid point of it's normal operating temperature. That way the gasket will flex evenly from it's seated position as it either cools or heats.
RavenTai said:for the first time the removing the filter on my 80 was easy, I have a strap style but it does not fit very well, only gets 1/1,000 of a turn each grab takes for ever, the 3 tooths thing works but crushes the can onto the elemnt making it hard to pulll out for examination, brouhgt a 20004 to Autozone and pucked up one of those sockets "AmPro" # T70404, 73MM 14 flutes, fits perfectly, took the filter right out, needed a ~3" extension now I need to fold up a sheetmetal pan to keep the oil off the block and 80 series oil changes will be a snap (as they shold be)
RavenTai said:E yes there is a socket that works with the 20004, if you get one that fits perfectly they work great.
