So I've been looking for a 100/470, and found one local for a good price. Went and looked at it. Mechanically it's good, 300k miles but good service, recently had timing belt, heater tees, water pump, tensioner, fuel pump, brakes, wheel bearings, ball joints etc. Guy had it pretty much it's whole life. Still runs and drives and is his only vehicle. Think its leaking some oil around the valve cover/gaskets, but doesn't use any between services. Probably needs a steering rack as the boot was off and I could see the ram. He was unaware, it may have recently happened. But anyways the rust level is what kept me from buying it. The only visible sign of rust on the outside is a little bubbling on the drivers quarter right in front of the wheel and just above the trim (that little 2 inch strip section). Underneath, the quarters behind the tire under the trim are gone, and the corners in the front behind the tires have about fist sized holes. I think there were also holes in front of the rear tire as well. The frame was somehow maintained with something to keep it from rusting as it is about as solid as they come and in great condition (even the sway bar brackets and rear crossmember). Is this vehicle approaching end of life, or does it have any value and able to be saved? If it does, what is the most you guys would pay for something in this condition? I'm not looking for a fancy super nice vehicle, we have other new vehicles. This is a secondary vehicle for trail riding and hunting etc. Long term would be 35s, lockers, gears, sliders, skids, bumpers etc.

How is this question moved to the classifieds? I'm not trying to sell anything. That makes no sense.
