Hello you guys,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Can anyone tell me what the writing on the back fold up hatch door GLASS means. Here is what it says on my 1962 FJ40 and as far as I know it is the original glass that came with the cruiser: TEMPERLITE / S-58-K / FJ 25 L-D G4 215 / TOYOTA JAPAN / AS 2.

Thanks. FJFJFJ / BTW,,,,,,,,,The glass is in good enough shape that I will be using it in the restore. I guess I could get new glass cut but this original glass is very cool. Any thoughts on the correct approach here since this is my first restoration. I naturally lean towards reusing everything I can within reason.

The part number for the glass from a June 1961 parts cat. is FJ25LD 64215 which is for FJ40 and FJ40L
Simular to part of your number. Your side glass should be P/N FJ25LD 61551

temperlite is the brand. as2 means american standard 2 which is tempered glass with 70% or more light transmission that can be used anywhere in the car except the windshield. s58k is most like the temperlite part number, but that's a wag
