I'm on Tire Rack's site looking at the Revo AT2 and the Hankook RF10, and i notice two different prices for the same size for each tire. they both show up when i search for suitable replacements for my '00 LX. the difference is that the cheaper one is a P265/75R16, while the more expensive one is the LT265/75R16. i assume the LT is a heavier-duty tire. so is the 100 considered a P, an LT, or will either work?

LT is more durable and tougher for LIGHT TRUCKS while the other is for PASSENGER VEHICLES....either will work but LT will do better for offroad durability and when you add heavier loads like bumpers, skids, winches, gear, etc.

P if doing soccer mom or mall crawler thing...better ride...less extreme conditions.

LT if going offroad more than a dirt road to lake or driveway

The difference in price could also be contributed to a different load rating for the same size tire. D rated tires have thinner sidewalls for better ride/handling. E rated tires are thicker and provide more durability for towing and offroad duty in exchange for a slight decrease in shock absorbtion/comfort.

Look for a D or E designator at the end of the tire size to tell which load rating it is.
