Hey, im not sure if this is worthy of a new thread but here it goes ...

Is it normal to pretty much never see condensation from your AC dripping ? Ive got that extension kit installed to avoid the drip out sway bar link. Then it occurred to me I never see it dripping anyway . My rear AC is now deleted but same goes for the rear tube , never seen it drip.

Anyway its super hot out today and ive got the AC blasting , but nothing . Only 20 percent humidity outside so maybe thats the key piece of the puzzle?

I see the most when the humidity is higher. Sometimes it feels like gallons and gallons come out of my drain tubes. On especially hot and humid days I will run the blower on high at my destination with the truck off to try and get the most water out of the evap box as possible.

Interesting .. I mean shoot if it wasn't leaking from the drain tube than id probably see some moisture in my passenger floor by now right ?

Probably all good just kinda curious what's happening .

Interesting observation.

Did you install the diverter yourself? If so, how does it travel? I imagine it is a 90 degree fitting going into the original nipple coming out of the lower passenger firewall, then zip tied to the sway bar or something nearby??

Can you see where it ends?

I have the diverter as well. Routed to a hole in the rear plastic factory under cover. Despite the 90 deg bend water streams out.

My rear drains a lot less in comparison and is mostly seen on humid days.

You got it. Ill post a picture soon. It was one of the kits that a mud member sells and is seemingly installed right. I ran it down and then along the frame rail and zipped tied it off.

I suppose for troubleshooting sake I can remove the extension tube and see what happens

Between the lack of humidity and also how hot it gets right near where this tube is routed, maybe any water drips just evaporate.... Blows cold air and my floors not wet so I guess its fine

Yes I get puddles in the summertime. I have had a gasket missing on the passenger side evaporator box and water was dripping there last year, easy fix. The gasket only covers the 4 to 6 o clock position or so and I’d expect a pluggage on the drain line to lead to drips on the passenger floor mat because of that. So, if you’re dry there, then life is good.

Tons of water. But its been humid here. Very glad I got the diverter tube going away from the swaybar link mount after seeing how much water pours out during the hot months.

Interesting, I'm just gunna assume since it's not wet inside and the AC blows cold to just move on for now.

Low humidity + the diverter tube routed by some really hot areas may = no drip.

Thanks for the info

turn off recirculation and set it to max speed and minimum temp.
In super humid Houston, i can pretty much flood the ground under me if i idle for too long. a constant stream of water. unless your ambient humidity is zero or close to it, i can't see the system not producing water.

Have you ever cleaned your drains? should be done before you install the extension kit to keep things simple. And no, i can't see how it would evaporate from any heat in the engine bay. That hose is thick, and i'd think it would melt before it gets hot enough to boil off water.

Were at 90+F and 20% humidity so IDK. I do always keep recirculate on, I will try with fresh air intake to see if it changes the symptoms. Yeah drain is clear and upon looking during my last cabin air filter change the inside area was pretty dry and dusty.

Who knows, not really considering this a problem yet. I should pull the extension tube and see what happens but I've been not really wanting to do that. Picked up a GX470 recently so I've been quite pampered driving around in that rig.

Spring we had a heat wave but it wasn’t humid and I didn’t notice any drips (40 degree dew point) . This month had been hot and humid (65-75 degree dew points) and leaves puddles.

Grats on the 470

With the high temps and low humidity down here in the city of trees, I don't get much condensate at all. This hot dry air just isn't holding much moisture at all. It's the same reason you're not drenched in sweat while those suckas down south need a snorkel to walk to their car. 😂

My FJ60 drips to the ground fairly aggressively with AC running...I presume me refilling the coolant and temps running lower was fix for temp and I'll need to do it periodically to avoid overheating but thats easy and infrequent.

How do you clean drain? I can’t see in the box, and the thru hole is hard to see anything to “clean”.

Im not sure. Maybe remove the line from the engine bay side and stick some weed whacker string up in there ?

Hi all, new member here! I am searching for some AC recharge info. i filled it up last year but i couldn't remember what the PSI specifications for the low and high side are. if anyone has info please let me know! Thanks!
