So my ASUS laptop came with an Atheros wireless card with built in Bluetooth, which was only so-so as far as network connectivity. the Bluetooth worked as it should. I only used a mouse with it and had no problems. A few days ago I got my hands on an Intel Centrino 6320 wireless card (also with built in Bluetooth) and installed it. The Wifi works much better than the Atheros, but now whenever I shut down or reboot my machine, I have to go through the whole process of rediscovering and reconnecting my Bluetooth mouse. With the Atheros all I had to do once it was initially connected was turn on the mouse and it was good to go. At first I thought it was the mouse because I had heard about my mouse (MS Notebook Presenter 8000) having Bluetooth issues. I switched it off while using it a few times, switched it back on and it started working right away, so I know it's doing what it's supposed to. But every time I restart my computer, it's like the whole mating process has been dumped. This tells me there's an issue with Intel's Bluetooth controller.
Soooo, have any of you Mud geeks ever dealt with any issues with Intel's Bluetooth stuff before, or any issues like what I'm having? I made sure the drivers were all the most current, and looked around for a possible firmware update, but no luck there.
