New sound that is freaking me out for the past week..
It lasts less than a second each time, and sounds+feels like one of the tires is on a rumble strip. Fairly loud, can be heard and felt over the radio etc. I can feel it in the steering as well the accelerator.I cannot reproduce it - seems to be totally random, and occurs at different speeds and rpm.
Seems to be coming from the passenger side.
No relation to rpm or speed or to braking or shifting or turning
No relation to AC on or off
Does NOT occur when idling
Everything seems to be working fine.
My rig is a 1999 LX470 with 140k miles. magnaflow exhaust otherwise still stock.
original transmission, shocks. AHC working fine. I looked under the hood as well as under the truck and nothing appears amiss except for leaking CV boots, a lot of rust and worn tires.
Any ideas what it could be or what I should look for?
Please help!!
Thank you in advance.
