Can someone help and guide me as to whe to put the arms and lift the LX, I googled and searched and searched and still no help. The LX has a running boards if that matters?

Thanks

I've seen the diagram in the FSMs. I'm looking it up now, unless someone else chimes in.

Here you go:

Isn't the boards right there where the pads are in the diagram? Possible for you guys to actually post a link with the actual pcture of the spots?

Thanks

The points in the diagram are both on the frame. Forward point is just in front of the rear most bolt for the plastic skid panel (just in front of the frame member going across the truck) and the rear point is on the frame just in front of the lower control arm mounts.

The pic above is exactLy how I lift mine. You just have to use the right spacer to clear the boards

Well tried to lft the LX but keeps running into an issue. The lift is a Challenger with asymmetrical arms and the rear arms keep going pass the frame points on both sides even though the truck is dead center. It seems like either the rear arms are bit too wide or the frame is bit too narrowed. I think, I might have 2 options:

If I reversed the truck and use the front arms for the rear and the rear for the front, it might (might) work

or

I can move the truck back (off setting the weight balance) so are these the only 2 solutions or am I missing something here?

Thanks

Well I was finally able to lift the truck but does the balance look ok to you all, seems bit off centered, no?
Why is the right side more geesier than the left?
What exactly is this area where the're 2 very small wet spots, no drips on the floor though? It is right infront of the cross member above the shield, front differential and loose bolts may be?
None of those things were mentioned by the toyota mechanic when I brought the truck in for an oil change 2 days ago, I wonder why?

Glad you finally managed to get it on the lift, makes me wish more and more that I had one of my own to use. Has anyone ever mentioned that your rear lower control arm bracket is bent to hell..?

I gotta look into that tomorrow and no, no one has ever mentioned that to me and hence I have the lift now

That's what I thought too, but I think it's just the angle of the picture.

Yes it's the angle of the camera. Any way came across the scariest moment of my life seeing the truck tilting when lowered on the manual locks. My 13 year old ran out of the garage and refused to step back in stating the truck was goingto to fall. He even started videoing me trying to figure out what to do next (thank you son) LOL.

Anyway, the cable on the side of the lift needs to be tightened up a little bit so no big deal.
