Hi all,

I am strongly considering purchasing the below vehicle:

2010 Lexus LX 570
50,000 Miles
Certified (aka 50k warranty remaining)

Sale Price $~57,000

I have a couple of questions:
1. How does the above price look?
2. Would anyone hesitate at picking up an LX with 50k?
3. Will bumpers, winches, etc. from the Land Cruiser work on the LX?

Vehicle will be used as a daily driver but also for "land cruising (more to come on this)"

Any comments/advice are aprreciated as this is my first LC/LX, all prior vehcile were BMWs or 3/4 ton Diesel Trucks.

Price seems a little high to me, but I don't have much to judge from. I paid that for my 2010 LC in 2010 with only 25k miles.

I have had 2x LX 100s and 1x LC 200. I'll will definitely not be buying another LC in the future. I think toyota service sucks. Because I have MTs, lockers, and a lift, the toyota dealer tries to deny all warranty claims. Every time I bring the LC in for service they always call me to let me know "this thing looks like its been offroad". Really?

Conversely, my LX are kitted out the same and my service manager at Lexus just laughs and congratulates me for using it for its intended purpose. Lexus always seems more than happy to wash off the mud and get to work.

I'm sure all this is dealer dependent, but I know a lot of folks that are going away from Toyota because of poor service.

Only reason I didn't buy the LX this time is the 20" rims.

also, the paint on my 200 scratches really easily. The LX may have better/thicker paint?

1. Price is probably fair for a Lexus dealer. I bought one last month. 2010 LX, 39k miles, all options except radar cruise for 4k less.
2. Would not be concerned about the miles. Ours is like brand new.
3. Don't know.

Go for it.

I'd offer $52k and wave some cash in their face.

Lexus certainly does treat you better than Toyota.

If I can can what I want for the trade I think I am going to pull the trigger on it.

Still interested in the mods.

So I bought the LX this Saturday.....

Time to mod it:

1. Who makes a hard core off road roof rack that will fit?

2. Will 275 65 R20 Toyo MTs fit with no lift and stock rims?

3. Who makes front seat covers?

4. Front Arm Rest Covers?

5. Also looking at front and rear bumpers. (Any Suggestions?)

As far as tires go, I think you would be pushing it with the tires you suggest - they are a little more than 34" in diameter. They are bound to rub. :whoops:

A better choice on the stock 20" rims would be 285/55-20's at a little less than 33" in diameter. Since 285/70-17's (32.8") fit with no rubbing, the 285/55-20's (32.5") should be OK.
