In my search for a 200, I came across someone on Mud that has exactly what I am looking for. However, I would need to sell/trade my truck and would also need financing to complete purchase.

Are there businesses that can act as an intermediary in these cases? Ones that may charge a nominal fee to help arrange financing, title work, tags, taxes, etc? Any help is appreciated - thanks!

Are you selling your 2006 LX?

Yes, I am selling the '06. Look back over my post history, I'm not sure it would pass a 'Mud' inspection. I have owned for about 4-5 months and did not do enough due diligence beforehand.

However, if you look through my posts and are still interested, I'm sure the price will be much more palatable than most of the 06's I have seen.

Rob, I would love to help you out with your transaction, but I'm not fully set up yet, but working on building my Brokerage. I'm in Atlanta also.. check out automotivematchmakers.com when you can.

Interesting, thanks for all the replies. Looks like this may be more common that I thought!

If the truck is in MO and I am in GA - should I use a local broker or a MO broker? Anyone who has done this before - would love to ask you a few little questions. thanks!

Depends on where you want to FINANCE/Register the truck. Usually Local brokers have access to local banks and transportation, etc.
Call me, I can help in whatever you need. I have a call at 2:30 EST though.. I'll PM you my number, or send me yours.

Any dealer can do it. For security purposes especially when someone doesn't have car paid off and cannot provide title. Going through dealer you pay their processing fee and you are done and it is all secured. In a way they are selling the car to dealer and you are buying from dealer all in one transaction. Done this in and when buying out of state. Just call a dealer to see if they are willing to do that. Personally never had to call more then two dealers to agree to do that.

I don't have any advice for a broker. However, I did grow up in Missouri and back then they used a bunch of salt on winter roads. Maybe a Mud member who recently (or still) lived there can chime in and say it it's still true or not.

Not saying your new purchase would be bad, just would hate for you to have back to back bad experiences.

My Brother is a Dealer/Broker, and I gave him some advice based on my background.

Good luck Rob.

Richie,
Thanks for all of your help yesterday. Getting the ball rolling as we speak.

Thanks to everyone for chiming in. I'll keep everyone posted. First the 80, then the 100, now a 200 - I guess I'm officially a Toyota guy now.
