Long pole with a mason jar of gas works for me every time. If it has just rained then I light it on fire and watch the fun. Wasps, yellow jackets and hornets are on death row with me.

It was near a creek on my property so gas was out of the question.

Also didn't want little bundles of fire flying a few feet over and landing in the neighbor's pasture. That would have been fun...

Those nest will burn even right after a rain when the pasture could not possibly ignite, Sounds bad but I love the smell of roasting wasps in the morning. :) But Marshall small tin can works safer than a mason jar if you do get stung when ya drop it it only causes fire not lacerations from the broken glass. ;)

Rescue dogs can be either great or nightmares and have been turned loose or O/S for a reason... thats why I truly recommend getting a dog from a licensed rescue that has had a dog in foster for a short while. They will do all the vetting and will know the ins and outs of that dog.

Chance was adopted, now I have another and 4 more on the way, maybe 5... I think I have Sadie (one I got last night) a very nice home lined up and 2 of the 4-5 also lined up with homes... the people that met Chance are all smitten...

I have had both bought dogs and rescued them, some off the street some from shelters... never had a bad one.

I still have Charlie Brown, Chance the smaller brown dog with the white stripe on his face went to a great home, and Sophia just went to a new home today.
