Pull motor or motor with tranny?

Making progress got the parts out I needed to swap power steering pump and starter. They where booth newer parts. Almost got the intake plenum of gotta disconnect the wiring harness in cab. Man will I never try that again while in the truck!!

Goodtimes! I’m planning on pulling the combo too. I’m still taking things off in prep. So far 3 broken bolts for the valance and headlights.

GMTA. Particularly interested in seeing the positioning and angle of the dangle to get an idea for it's gonna look like for me down the road.
 
Would also love to see the specifics of the wiring harness going in...
 
Bumper pulled for extra clearance. Going to try and pull just motor myself will see how that goes!

Only top two bolts holding this thing together. Going to pull the center console and see if I can sneak in that way.

Yah gonna give it a shot if not I’ll pull the whole dam thing.
 
Well I think I’m giving up on the top bolts. I got one out but I’m unable to get the passenger side top 2 out. I pulled the shift console and tried through there no dice! Tomorrow will
Be putting torque converter bolts back in most of the housing bolts and will attempt to pull the whole dam thing.
 
Any advice on pulling drive shafts. I soaked them with kreosol tonight. Tried to loosen one and it’s tight. Chalked the wheels and put t case in neutral. I don’t have any 6 point box end wrenches so it may be time to go shopping.

6 point are mandatory.
Don't do what I did and pull with your hands. I pulled pectoral muscles and, ouch! Carefully, push with your feet, with sneakers on. (Legs are mucho stronger)
Crazy? I know.
 
These are going to the driveline shop on Monday for new OEM u joints that I already had and to get balanced.
