Can anyone tell me how much 5/16" cable will fill a 1975 FJ40 PTO winch? Also how much chain is used.
Thank you,
Vern

The one I like is 5/8" X 200' on the stock Toyota drum - small chain of only 14" with Hook.
All the best with your rare Toyota PTO winch.

There is no way in hell you are going to fit 200 feet of 5/8 cable on a factory Toyota Land Cruiser PTO winch drum.

you can physically spool 40m of 10mm (3/8) rope onto the drum but it dosent make it very usable allowing for uneven spooling when winching, 30m of 10mm (3/8) rope works well, as far as 5/16 goes your guess is as good as mine, there are calculators on the net if you search google.... rope diameter x drum width x etc etc that will work it out for you :)

50 paces of 8mm or 5/16. Get it a little long- say 55 meters- and if you find it's too long then you can cut off a bit and use it for a sling or something.
