I have a complete PTO minus the shift linkage that I plan on installing in my 71 40. Has anyone ever tried to fabricate shift linkage for a PTO? Thoughts...suggestions?

thanks

Personally, I don't think it is worth the effort. I bought one several weeks ago from SOR for $100. You might also try G and S cruisers in Canada...I think they are having a sale soon. Check the vendor section.

The linkage pivots at the top of the tranny. I think it would be tricky to get the geometry right, let alone the hardware to make it right.

If you go the route of fabrication, I would recommend having someone send you some detailed measurements.

I have a couple of pivot bolts if you need one...
