when I put a 2" lift on my 4runner the lift came with an extension for the rear proportioning valve for the brakes. In all the info I have read about lifting an 80 I haven't seen anything like this. What is the procedure for this if any? Thanks.

Anybody running that wire/tube to the LSPV above the upper control arm? I can't raise mine anymore than I've done (about 2") without contacting the control arm. . .

I actually made an extension from some 1/2" pipe I bought from Home Depot. I cut it to length and then threaded it to 12mm 1.25 I beleive and then screwed it on the piece on the axle and then used a bolt to secure it to the arm. Worked out real well. One nice thing is that it's adjustable and if you measure before and after distances from the bump stops you can easily position the tube to compensate for the spring height change.

I fabbed and extention, but I think I need a longer one. . . I've got a 6" lift so I don't think raising the LSPV 2" is enough, but if I raise it anymore without rerouting it, it'll contact the upper control arm. . . sorry, I guess I'm hijacking the thread or attempting to.

When I got to the LSPV while working on my 850J/863 lift , I was thinking it would be tough .. I remember guys saying they forgot where it was originally , and had no reference anymore .. or marking a pc that actually moved so of course that became useless as a reference .

I just decided to leave the upper nut in place , and screw down the other until it measured X" away and then screwed down the top nut .

Edit : Changed measurment to X inches , as I can't remember now how far I moved it . However I did base my adjustment from my reading MUD archives , and moved it the standard amount for the lift I put on .

TY

When i asked this question a long time ago, i was told just to lower by adjusting the nut about an inch i believe. So i did it. It was perfect as my brake pad wear is even front to back.
