I was thinking of swiching over to propane (LPG) to cut fuel cost but it turns out that that isint going to happen this year because the price of gas is somehow affecting the price of LPG.
I am still thinking about it in the long run when the natural gas pipline is built from the north slope to Anchorage and the lower 48. Popane prices should go down then because the oil and gas come from the same hole and most oil feilds are just natural gas fields with a little oil in them. There is so much gass up there we could change all cars and trucks to propane and drive forever.
The ratio is something like 100(gas):1(oil) in the oil feilds. Some are just gass fields.
Today 6/25/08 gas is $4.39 /gal. and propane is $4.79 / gal.
I find this amazing because I live in Anchorage which is right near an oil and gass feild to the west a couple hundred miles away.
I was hoping some other people from around the country or world would let me know what there propane/LPG prices are in there area.
