Today Kelly and I got the roof on completely with all new gaskets/seals and all new hardware. The glass is in just OK shape so after Moab, I maybe replacing all 3 back windows. I also got the side steps painted and trimmed out. Hopefully the dash, doors, bezel and windshield hinges will be painted this week. The winch should also be here in a few days so at that point I should be doing some serious assembly then some serious driving. I have no idea how it will wheel, but I want to make sure all the regular driving bugs are out of it before dragging it 1000 miles to Moab.

Awesomely designed and executed. Very clean. My kind of rig.

Any movement on a tailgate?

Will you adopt me so I can inherit all this??? When I start a project my completion time frame is measured in decades. Inheritance is fast and simple. PM me if you need another son.

This truck is pure sex, I just can't get over how freakin beautiful it is.

BTW, it looks like you can't ever escape the infamous 80 stinkbug stance, or is it an illusion?

Ary
It does have that stance somewhat, maybe a 1" high in the rear. I need to get the rest of the crap assembled to make final adjustments. It won't have the "stinkbug stance" for long.

Gary, nice as usual.

wondering about that coil spring in the last pic. Looks almost like it's bound, or bowed a little. Is that normal or ok, or what? I wonder if that bow is from the castor being corrected and a little spring bind?

Gary,

If you are getting the tailgate from Paul you will be very happy with his work. I got one of the first ones he shipped here and it is great.

All 4 coils are somewhat bowed a little. Not much but as the picture shows at just the right angle. I do think its because of the axle being tilted some to correct for caster. The rear is bowed some from the same thing.

I will be getting a tailgate from him. His work looks really nice. I have just about run out of lunch money on this thing so it will have to wait until next month.

More work yesterday. Got the winch installed with the relay box under hood and an indash switch, new synthetic rope winch lead put on, finally got the rest of the parts painted, got the bezel on, and found and installed my 10k lb. rated military swivel clevis's that were plated about 2 years ago just waiting for the right home. The bumper needed some attachment places and they fit the bill. A lot done, but a lot more to go.
