I am ashamed to say that the fata$$ in the brown shirt would be me. The other guy has the same dumb look on his face as we were having a laugh at the welders expense.
No pics the last few days but I have a bunch coming. I got the glass in the windshield, windshield mounted, crank out vent system working (what a pain in the a$$ that was), and made some backwards progress on the dash. I lowered the steering column 1.5 inches so when the wheel is tilted all the way down, its where I like it. By doing this I now have a gap in the dash panel I made that I can't live with. I also did not like the 80 series ignition switch syicking way out from the dash, so that was removed with all of its bracketry. I am now using a marine waterproof ign switch panel mounted in a whole new dash. I also added some material to the bottom of the panel to cover the wiring better. All of this was done quick courtesy of my budiies water jet cutting machine. He scanned my hand made dash, made all the holes perfect, added the material in the areas I wanted then cut it all in about 1 hour. I kept the program if anyone wants a dash panel made for a 65. Pics this afternoon.
